It was obvious from our first meeting exactly what this confused inner west property required. Split over three levels on an usually steep site, the project was in desperate need of clear and logical planning to the main living level, with an improved connection to the rear garden.
With budget in mind, the proposal included the strategic elimination of selected obtrusive internal walls, and replanning of the internal floor plate.
An elevated extension projects over the existing covered deck below providing a modest, yet much needed space to accommodate a family dining room.
A new deck seamlessly flows from the new dining to blur the boundary between inside and out. A stair leads directly down to the rear garden, while allowing the remaining deck space to be utilized as a seated bar that forms the perfect platform for elevated district views North, towards the city.
